Sundays at HRC
We are pleased to announce that from 20th September we have restarted our Sunday morning services at HRC. We will continue to livestream the service on the HRC YouTube channel for those who are still shielding or do not yet feel comfortable attending in person.
Some things will be very different from before the pandemic but some things will be the same. God, the gospel and his word are unchanged and remain central to our meetings. We meet to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ, to pray
and to hear his word read and preached. We cannot currently sing communally but the service will include songs of praise which we can listen to and join in spiritual worship.
The service will start at 11am and last around 60 minutes. We are not currently asking people to pre-book but do ask that you arrive between 10.40 and 11am so that we can manage entry to the building safely. We ask people not to attend if you have had any symptom of coronavirus in the previous week or if you have been in contact with someone who has had symptoms. People will be on hand to greet you, take your details for track-and-trace and direct you to the meeting room. We have prepared the building appropriately so that we can meet in a covid-secure manner. Wearing of masks while in the building is required. Bibles will not be provided, but the words will be projected on a screen and you may of course bring your own bible. One toilet will be available but we ask people to use the toilet at home before coming to try and minimize use of the chapel facilities.
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (communion) during the first Sunday service of each month. We have prepacked juice and bread so that we can do this in a safe way.
Sadly we cannot serve refreshments or enjoy our usual after church fellowship of fellowship meals. The current guidelines require us to ask that you leave the building using the designated exit fairly soon after the end of the service.
We meet virtually via Zoom on Wednesday at 7pm. We start off with a reading from the Bible which guides and instructs our prayers for that evening. We believe that the prayer meeting is a vital meeting in the life of the church. Please email Pastor George if you are interested in attending.
